The National Award Winning Interior Designer, Patricia Davis Brown, NCIDQ, ASID, CKD, CBD of New York City, features Allison and her work in a recent article:

Design inspiration centered around an uplifting piece of abstract art is a great way to begin any design project in a home or office.  Following are two colorful and inspiring abstract art pieces that create excellent energy shared with us by Elisa Contemporary Art.

Elisa Contemporary Art  is focused on the healing and transforming power of art to positively impact our lives.  Lisa Cooper, gallery owner, art dealer and art consultant, shared a few of her favorite abstract art pieces with us from Austin-based artist, Allison Gregory.

Allison Gregory and her vibrant, textured paintings always bring a smile and warm feeling to the viewers. Three pieces are currently being displayed at the Elisa Contemporary Art exhibit and everyone (young and old) beam as they look at her work. Some people have commented on how when they look at this work, they get transported to a “happy place”.

Allison calls her latest series of works “Pop-stracts” combining influences from pop culture with Abstract art. Along with showings at Elisa Contemporary Art, Allison’s work has included several public arts projects including the 2010 Austin Cow Parade (she was the first artist to create four sculptures and she raised over $220,000 for their charitable cause.) and 2006 Austin Guitar Town project.

Allison was commissioned by a panel of judges in Austin, as well as the CowParade committee and Austin Sponsors, to not only paint one cow, but four!!! This is quite an honor, as no other person in CowParade history, among thousands of artists in the world, has ever been chosen to paint that many cows.

She was interviewed on television with “Pi-COW-sso on KVUE , has been featured in the newspaper several times, as well as magazines and online journals.

To top it all off, her first bovine, which is officially titled “Partying with Pi-COW-sso” , has been one of the few chosen to be reproduced for the Extra Large, Museum Edition replicas, which are sold all over the world.
